He was predeceased by: his parents, Yu Quan Xie and Sau Ying Lai. He is survived by: his wife Wai Ying Wong; his children, John H. Chieh, Kami Chieh and Choi Kwan Chieh; and his brother Joe Chieh. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
