He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Hunter and Lena Mae McMillan Newman; his son Danny Keith Newman; his sisters, Catherine Elizabeth Newman, Helen Marie Reynolds, Geraldine Wall and Hettie Jean Kliesh; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Spears Knotts, Alma Lea Knotts Lancon, Olen Brumfield, Bud Oliver Kliesh, William Benjamin Knotts, Lovelace Lacon, Jesse Marshall Reynolds and William Buford Wall.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Pearl Knotts; his daughter Sandy Marie Newman Baas (John); his grandchildren, Dannette Newman King (Lee), Shelley Baas Neely (Bryce), Lindsey Baas Clarke (Chris), Travis K. Newman (Miranda) and Dylan W. Baas (Grace); his sister Louise Newman Brumfield; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Corbin King, Wyatt, Wren Neely, Campbell, Collins, Harrison Clarke, Avelynn, Dani, Kaleb, Madi Newman, Oliver and Charlie Baas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gillsburg Baptist Church (6126 MS-568, Osyka, MS 39657). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gillsburg Baptist Church.
