He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Carpenter and Ilene Carpenter; his granddaughter Brittany Lambert; and his siblings, Gerald Ray Carpenter and Helen Ruth McAnally (Melvin).
He is survived by: his wife Mayline Carpenter; his children, Brian Carpenter (April), Cristie Lambert (Tracy), Sandy King (Harvey), Marla Rorie (James) and Kimberly Carpenter (Matt); his grandchildren, Samantha Lambert, Bridgett King, Amber King, Nicki Woodruff, Cody Sanders, Jeremiah Rorie, Owen Scott, Charia Floyd, Blake Carpenter and Kimzie Phipps; and his sister Linda Cole (Terry). He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
