He was predeceased by : his parents, Acy Jacob Newsom II and Lula Denham Newsom; and his brother Acy Jacob Newsom, III. He is survived by : his sons, Bobby Newsom of Lowell, MA., Acy Newsom of Baker, LA., Steve Newsom (Monica) of Saint Amant, LA. and Charles Newsom of Baker, LA.; and his sister Kathy Duke (Dennis). He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
