He is survived by: his wife Alice Carpenter Deaton; his sons, Hal Wayne Deaton, Jr. (Rachelle) of Gore Springs and Jason Deaton (Angel) of Ripley; his grandchildren, Halle Deaton, Tate Glenn (Jada), Luke Glenn, Holden VanStory, Cadence VanStory and Mason Van Story; and his great grandchildren, Charlee Tate Glenn and Elora James Glenn.
A graveside service was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery.
