He was predeceased by: his wife Linda G. Blocker McGaugh; his parents, Jessie J McGaugh and Bessie D Vaughn McGaugh; and his siblings, Billy McGaugh, Eugene McGaugh, Peggy Underwood, Cathryn Kimbrell and Pat Summerlin.

He is survived by: his brothers, Jimmy McGaugh (Anita McGaugh) of Crowder and Frank McGaugh (Donnis McGaugh) of Philadelphia; his children, Stephen McGaugh of Greenville, Kelley Oliver (Robert Oliver) of Oxford and Wesley McGaugh of Greenville; his grandchildren, Stevie Lynn McGaugh, Aden Oliver, Eli Oliver, Wyatt McGaugh, Conner McGaugh and Layne McGaugh; and his great grandchild Ella McGaugh.
