She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Haskell Lewis and Chellie Jewell Bruce Lewis; her husband Eugene Lovell Porter Jr.; her grandson Blake Richard Porter; her siblings, Mary Carol Lewis, Talmadge Osborne Lewis, Robert Earl Lewis and Bobby Joe Lewis; Joyce and Thelma.

She is survived by: her sons, Eugene "Bud" Lovell Porter III (Kim Wingfield) and Richard Gary Porter (Lisa); her grandchildren, Lindsey Elise Porter Norris (John) and Keeley Marie Porter McGee (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Lovell Sullivan McGee, Jaden Parker Norris and Lucy Elise McGee; her siblings, Patsy Lewis Wylie (J. C.) of Arcola, Mississippi and Jerry Lewis (Patricia) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and her close friend Bernard Criswell.
