He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Byrd and Julia L. Rials; and his wife Norma Dane Byrd. He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Ann Sheffield (James E.) and Teresa Gail Timmes (Steven L.); and his grandchildren, Cynthia Chrestensen, Christopher Chrestensen (Juliana) and Cody Shields (Lindsey). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mortimer Funeral Home (711 US-82, Greenville, MS 38701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
