He was predeceased by: his father Jimmie Lewis Phillips. He is survived by: his son Jimmy Gregory Phillips, Jr.; his wife Shirley Phillips; his son John Patrick "J. P." Phillips (Cassidy); his granddaughter Adalyn Grace Phillips; his mother Maydeen Phillips Lee; and his siblings, Lewis Phillips (Pam), Ken Phillips (Amy) and Tammie Hudgins (Kerry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
