She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Rayburn Houston and Dorothy Christine Woods Houston of Charleston, MS; and her brother Ronnie Houston. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Staten of Greenville, MS; her children, Christopher Staten and Stephanie Staten of Greenville, MS.; her grandson Dillon Gammill (Katelyn Trotter) of Greenville, MS; and her great grandchildren, Weston Trotter and William Gray Gammill. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Susan wished to forgo a funeral or memorial service and requested in lieu of flowers donations could be made by friends to a church of their choosing in her memory.
