He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Louis Tackett and Maudie Hays Tackett; his grandmother Maudie "Mama Mae" McFerrin Hays; his aunt Joanne Hays; his brother Tim Tackett; and his sons, Chuck Tackett and Blake "Butch" Klemme.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Baker Tackett; his daughters, Gina Odom (Cole) of Rayville, LA, Cori Tackett and Jaime Lynn Carpenter (Zack); and his siblings, Carol Chapman, Mark Tackett (Martha) of Oak Grove, LA, Susan Holt of Ruleville, MS and Billie Gordon of Merigold, MS.. He is also survived by grandfather and uncle, leaving behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
