It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Browning of Greenwood, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Browning and Valeria Browning; and his brother Robert Browning. He is survived by: his wife Amanda Walker Browning; his sons, Douglas Browning of Tampa and William Browning (Jamie) of Tampa; Tony Browning, Sr. of Grenada.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Delta Funeral Home (1008 Sgt John Pittman Dr, Greenwood, MS 38930).
