With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Acker Taylor of Greenwood, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 6, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney B. Taylor and Hassie Fant Taylor; his former wife Shirley Heffner Taylor; and his siblings, Ruth Taylor McKnight, Mary Taylor Ashmore, Joyce Taylor Gorman, Sidney B. "S. B." Taylor Jr., John Washington "Jack" Taylor, Benjamin "Ben" L. Taylor, Edward "Peck" Fant Taylor, Harry Lee Taylor and Patrick "Pat" Neal Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Holeman Taylor; his brother Mabry Joe Taylor; his children, Robert "Bobby" A. Taylor, Jr. (Marjorie) of Alexandria, LA, Angela "Angie" Renee Taylor Carpenter (Warren) of Brandon, MS and Tanya Paige Taylor (Jack) of Madison, MS; his stepchildren, Trenton Allen King (Barbara) of Kosciusko, Bradley "Brad" Everett King (Georgiana) of Grenada, Tammy Lynn Strahan (Timmy) of Vaiden and Candace "Candy" Renee Robertson (Chad) of Hernando; his grandchildren, Caitlin Carpenter, Spencer Taylor, Lauren Taylor, Joseph Taylor and Jacob Taylor; and his nephews, Chad Killabrew, Chad McKnight, Bubba Ashmore, Trey Taylor, Blake Henson, Miles Rainey and Tyler Thornton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
