She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Slaughter and Ruth Slaughter; and her daughters, Mallorie Thomason and Bess Thomason Smith. She is survived by: her husband Ken Bennett; her sons, Jay Thomason (Erin) of Tupelo and Sumner Thomason of Madison; her son-in-law Ryan Smith of Carrollton; her siblings, Carla Dean (Tony) of Florence and Jeff Slaughter of Nashville; and her grandchildren, Caleb Thomason, David Thomason, Daniel Thomason and Pinnie Kate Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
