She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Lee Helms and Lois Mae Scarborough Helms; her husband Rev. William Elvis Vance; her daughter Sherra Carpenter; and her siblings, Horace Helms, Eugene Sutton, Hansel Sutton, Orville Helms and Grady Helms.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Barrett (Tommy) of Grenada, Harvey Vance (Diann) of Grenada, Roy Vance (Vicky) of Water Valley and Bennie Vance (Liz) of Grenada. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
