He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Dixon Austin; his son Chris Austin of Grenada; his daughter-in-law Jodie Koonce Austin; his grandchildren, McKenzie Austin, Anna Gail Austin, Jessica Nail Willis and Heather Nail Jenkins; his great grandchildren, Carter Willis, CJ Willis, Axel Montgomery, Slade Griffin and Paisley Griffin; and his cousin Dwight Austin, Jr..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
