It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sally Harper of Grenada, Mississippi, who passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Davis Harper; her son David Lane Harper; her parents, John Marshall Lane and Cora Taylor Lane; her siblings, Purvis, Charlie Lane and Mary Lane; and her great grandchild Patton Crews Burkhalter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Harper Godwin (Carlie) and Robin Harper Jones (Brian); her grandchildren, Lindsey Burkhalter (Brooke), Candice Brown, Erin McElroy (Taylor), Patrick Jones, Sarah Beth Phelps (Cole), Harper Arnold (Amye) and Taylor Arnold (Mary); her great grandchild Edie Godwin; and her grandchildren, Ayden, Rollins, Crews Burkhalter, Morgan, Mahlon, Jacob McElroy, Isabella, Gabrielle Brown, Walker and Emma Phelps.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Starkville Academy, 505 Academy Road, where Sally's grandchildren or great-grandchildren have attended since 1984.
