He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Ray Sr. and Lillian Ray (Jackson); his daughter Dedri Y. Phillips; his siblings, David Ray and Betty Sutton; his uncles, Paul Ray and James Murdock Ray; and his aunt Julia "Midge" Locker.
He is survived by: his wife Bessie M. Ray of Gulfport, MS; and his children, Emanual Love of Gulfport, Arthur Ray III (Debra) of Gulfport, Anita Hawthorne of Stafford, VA, Ramona Harris (Anrea) of Gulfport and Torcia Bunton of Austin, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, classmates and neighbors.
