With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christian Sherrod of Gulfport, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2025 at the age of 40. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Abraham Sherrod; his brother Charles "Meechie" Stennis; and his brother-in-law Keith Powell. He is survived by: his mother Bertha Sherrod; his wife Ylonda Sherrod; his son Malik Pugh; his siblings, James Stennis (June), Alice Powell and Eric Stennis; his sisters-in-law, Latrice Smith and Shaquita Jenkins (Sedric); his sister Natalia Anderson; and his godparents, Mattie Harrison, Joann Robinson and Benny Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (1509 Dupont Ave, Pascagoula, MS 39567). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
