He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Foster Long; his parents, Lettie Long and Joseph Long; and his siblings, Girlyn Felton, Rita Long, Vickie Mintz, Evora Buckles, Leroy Long, Floyd Long and Harold Long.

He is survived by: his sister Joyce Futrell of Phoenix, AZ; his children, Connie Long Malagarie (Urban), Kathy Long Stolica (Darryl) and Dallas Long, Jr. (Julie); and his grandchildren, Chris Long, Myles Long (Bailey) and Kyle Long (Jessica). He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
