He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Holliman Papania; his parents, Leon Papania and Nellie Papania; his siblings, Alice Carrubba (Paul), Luke Papania (Sue), Leonard Papania (Kathryn), Joe Papania (Callie), Andrew Papania (Dottie) and Bennett Papania; and his daughters, Debbie Meyer and Gina Papania.
He is survived by: his children, Julianna Johnson, Wayne Eugene Papania, Steven Anthony Papania (Donna), Gregory Joseph Papania and Brian Timothy "Butch" Papania (Tina); and his brother Bernard Papania (late Estelle). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home - Orange Grove (15452 Oneal Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Gardens Cemetery (3908 28th St, Gulfport, MS 39501).
