Evelyn Barnes DeVries Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Barnes DeVries of Gulfport, Mississippi, who passed away on March 12, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Kathy J. Barnes; her husband Gerritt A. Devries; her parents, James H. Davis and Mattie M. Davis; and her sister Mary Danelle Phillips.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon L. Beard (Lyndon) of Gulfport and Michael Scott Barnes (Quin) of Gulfport; her sister Wanda D. Keesing (Jack); her grandchildren, Christina Lynne Beard, John Maxwell Barnes and David Mauffray (Mazzy); and her great grandchildren, Mary-Margaret Mauffray and Hollis Mauffray. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Gulf Coast Region.
