He is survived by: his wife Peggy DeSandre; his children, Glenn DeSandre (Pierce) of San Francisco, CA, Richard "Randy" Platt (Tammy) of Maricopa, AZ, Christine DeSandre of Seal Beach, CA and Kristy Davis of Gulfport, MS; his grandchildren, Tailor Burton, Adam Platt, Angelo Platt, Aaron Platt, Brynn Davis, Isaac Davis, Camryn Davis, Emma Davis, Everett LeMaster, Myla Davis, Bricen Davis and Jace Davis; his siblings, Arnold, Layne DeSandre of Murcheson, TX, Catherine Wright of Joliet, IL, Margie DeSandre of Genoa, IL, Ron, Ruth Meyer of Joliet, IL and Sally DeSandre of Joliet, IL.; his sister-in-law Iris DeSandre of New Lenox, IL; his niece Michelle "Shelly" Keith (Scott) of Hoffman Estates, IL; his daughter-in-law Courtney Thompson of Sublette, IL; and his friend Charles Honora of Gulfport, MS. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or Woodhaven Lakes, Sublette, IL.
