He was predeceased by: his former wife Joyce Deen; his son James Russell "Rusty" Deen; and his sister Sammie Herring. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Plaice Deen; his children, Rhonda Glenn (Jack) of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Randy Deen (Kelly) of Port Huron, MI, Lori Crowe Deen (Greg Nations) of Long Beach, LouAnn Cox (Bubba) of Brandon, Mike Rau (Vickie) of Long Beach, Pam Church of Pass Christian, Frankie Plaice of Atlanta and Terry Plaice (Holly) of Zirconia, NC; and his grandchildren, Amanda Pettis (Dan) of Niceville, FL, Jesse Deen, Raymon Deen of Port Huron, Jared Deen and Jacob Deen of Long Beach. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
