He was predeceased by: his parents, William Trapp and Lucille Trapp; his siblings, James Trapp and Julianne; and his sister-in-law Lori Trapp.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Trapp; his children, Robert Trapp (Melissa), Dennis Trapp (Cammie) and Rose Schilcher (Marty); his siblings, Richard Trapp (Sheila), Judy Balko (Jeff), Gene Trapp, Laura Wagner (Wayne) and Larry Trapp (Jeanine); his grandchildren, Shalimar Trapp, Sunshine Trapp, Schuyler Trapp, Robert Trapp, Jr., Luke Trapp, Lucy Schilcher, Marty Schilcher and Oliver Schilcher; and his great grandchild Charlotte Lee. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
