He was predeceased by: his son Justin May; his father John "Johnny" May Sr.; and his grandparents, Junior, Ola Mae Lizana, Howard "Lucky" and Marie May.
He is survived by: his daughter Jerrica Forbis (Dustin); his mother Brenda Faye May; his grandchildren, Raileigh and Owen; and his close friend Margo Keel.
