He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. W. L. Meadows and Mary Catherine Butler Meadows of Quitman, MS.; and his daughter Kathryn Lynn Meadows. He is survived by: his wife Carole Lynn Wilson Meadows of Gulfport; his son Joseph R. Meadows, Jr. (Susan) of Fairhope, AL; his granddaughters, Victoria Meadows Murphy (Evan) of Tequesta, FL and Meredith Meadows Kajdan (Alex) of The Woodlands, TX; his great grandchildren, Julia, Henry and Emma Kajdan; his nephew David Meadows (Vickie) of Shreveport, LA; his niece Beth Meadows Grace (Kevin) of Dallas, TX; and his brother-in-law Mike Wilson (Debra) of Lucedale, MS..
