It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Louise Douglas (Gulfport, Mississippi), born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Horace Gibson and Polly Gibson; her husbands, Burnice Carver and Bennie Douglas; her son John Carver; and her brothers, Joe Gibson and William Roy Giardina.

She is survived by : her children, Virginia Brumley (Johnny), David Douglas (Dean), Roy Douglas (Trina) and Shirley Hobbs. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
