She was predeceased by: her parents, John V. Buchanan and Emma McCoy Buchanan; her husband Jimmy Sharp; her daughters, Sheryl Slattery (Bill) and Linda Dunning (Roger); her grandchildren, Shawn Slattery (Addison), Kaitlin Smith (Ryan), Chelsea Holmes (Christopher) and Michael Dunning (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Finn Slattery, Donovan Slattery, Cora Callie Holmes, Callahan Holmes and Olivia Dunning; and her siblings, Gilbert Buchanan, Riley Buchanan, Elmer Buchanan, Fonzer Buchanan, J. V. Buchanan and Nancy Hughes.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Lowdermilk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Backpack Ministry of Hiland Park Baptist Church, honoring Martha's commitment to serving others.
