With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Hickman Barrett of Gulfport, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earl "Bill" Barrett, Sr. and Esther Scott Barrett; and his brother William Earl "Billy" Barrett, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Fay Nobles Barrett; his siblings, Ashton Scott Barrett (Celia) of Gulfport, MS and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Barrett of Jackson, MS; his children, William Carl "Bill" Barrett (Savannah) of Ocean Springs, MS and Susan Barrett Creegan (John) of Sealy, TX; his granddaughters, Frances "Franny", Margaret "Maggie" and Elizabeth "Betty" Creegan; his niece Amy Barrett Caboni (Devin) of New Orleans, LA; and his great-nephews, Scott and Will Caboni.
In lieu of flower, donations in Peter's name may be made to Burton Memorial United Methodist Church.
