With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis Burns Young of Gulfport, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lydia Nix Burns and James Ele Burns; and her husband Ralph Young. She is survived by: her siblings, Frank, Hortense and Brookhaven; her sons, David Young (Linda) and Ben Young (Debbie); her grandchildren, Amanda Savage and Jeff Young; and her great grandchildren, Jack Savage, Will Savage and Avery Young.
In honor of her lifelong commitment to youth ministry, memorials may be made to Mississippi Gulf Coast Youth for Christ.
