We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2025, at the age of 80, Robert Charles Smith of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Smith and Lillian Graves Smith; his siblings, Frank Smith, Leon Smith, Ella Mae Matthews, Béatrice Evans Edwards and Ella Mae Smith Anderson; and his grandsons, Marcell Legier Smith and Darrell Lamar Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Renee Smith of Gulfport and Gregory Smith (LaTasha) of Biloxi; his sister Odessa Smith Brumfield of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Makayla, Patrick, Takeia, Christon, Kennedy, Quincy and Mason Smith; his great grandchildren, Kimora, Kodey, Khaza and Naomi; and his nieces, Carla Smith Brown and Kimberly Bates-Henry (Chris). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (830 Riley Ave, Gulfport, MS 39507). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
