She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Virginia White (Maddox) and I. J. White; her brother-in-law Dr. Bancroft Cooper; her sister Deborah Lynn Harrell (White); and her nephew Isaac Kaleb White.
She is survived by: her husband David Benjamin Simmons of Gulfport; her daughter Emma Virginia Simmons of Gulfport, MS; her siblings, Mary Virginia Cooper (White) of Enterprise, Dean White (Teresa) of Bella Vista, AR and Jeff White (Donna) of Enterprise, Alabama; her brother-in-law Rick Harrell of Gautier, MS; her aunt Vera Kate Maddox Crozier of Illinois; and her cousin Sandra Furr of Pell City, Alabama. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
