She is survived by: her husband Billy Applewhite; her children, Tracy Broussard (Darin) and Mark Applewhite (Julie); her grandchildren, Bailey Broome, Cameron Broome, Kylie Broome and Joseph Applewhite (Grace); and her sister-in-law Wynn Applewhite (Glenn).
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Floral Hills Memorial Park (8910 Carl Legett Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503). A memorial service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bay Vista Baptist Church (2485 Pass Rd, Biloxi, MS 39531).
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Sheryl's memory.
