She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby L Crawford Cowart and Ernest S. Cowart Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Vinita M. Meridith Whitacre; her siblings, Norman, Floyd, Stanley (Buster), Troy, Jy Cowart (AC), Tinie, Ersley, Lezette and Leola; and her grandchildren, Robin Stanley, Kevin Necaise and Everett Whitacre Jr.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great Grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (17430 Landon Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503).
