With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Wayne Cooper of Guntown, Mississippi, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Martha J. Cooper; his parents, Joseph Cooper and Dorothy Barnett Cooper; his siblings, Frank Cooper, Marie Newman, Clara Anderson, Priscilla Fleming, Virginia Rakestraw and Nancy Franks; and his grandson Robert Chaffin.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Kaye Chaffin of Baldwyn, Marjorie Newby (Carl) of Booneville, Sylvia Tigner (Britt) of Baldwyn and Michael Chaffin of Guntown; his siblings, Edna Lanier, Mary Sills, Robert Cooper and William Cooper; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Deanna, Anthony, Neal, Hannah, Braxton and Alahanna. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (309 N 2nd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
