She was predeceased by : her parents, Kirby Lee Whitaker and Lourena Flippo Whitaker; her husband Edward Marshall; her daughter Peggy Marshall; her siblings, James Whitaker (Dorothy), Wilburn Whitaker (Wilma), Ralph Whitaker, Wilton Whitaker, Carlton Whitaker, Franklin Whitaker and Louvinia Whitaker Young (Woody); her sisters-in-law, Alta Mae Whitaker (Rubel), Girthel Whitaker (Gene) and Kay Whitaker (Lonnie); and her great grandchild Austin Reeves.
She is survived by : her sons, Melvin Marshall (Paula) and Eddie Marshall; her brothers, Rubel Whitaker (Linda), Gene Whitaker and Lonnie Whitaker (Ann); her sisters-in-law, Juanda Whitaker (Franklin) and Donna Whitaker (Ralph); and her grandchildren, Chris Marshall (Lan Nguyen), Sonya Flynt (Brian), Philip Robertson (Casey), Cindy Reeves (Jesse) and Amy Robinson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
