He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allen, Sr. and Georgia Mae Garner Cockerham; his brother John Allen Cockerham, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Lynda Cockerham and Michelle Cockerham.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Cockerham of Hamilton; his children, Wesley Cockerham (Lisa) of Spring Hill, TN, Tracey Cockerham (Sonya) and Philana Cockerham (Hamilton); his siblings, Terry Cockerham of Hamilton, Kevin Cockerham (Cindy) of Hamilton and Lisa Martin (Charlie) of Trussville, AL; his sister-in-law Celeste Cockerham; his grandchildren, Shannon Hawkins (Evan), Gracie Williams (Jacob), Icie Cockerham, Grayson Cockerham, Georgia Cockerham, Mollie Fast (Rylan), Jacob Parker, Colton Cockerham and Addie Mae Cockerham; and his great grandchild Charlotte'Charlie'Williams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
