We are sad to announce that, on June 18, 2025, at the age of 91, David M. King Sr. of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carole; his parents, Desmond King and Marguerite King; his son David King, Jr.; and his brother Dr. Robert "Bobby" King.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Ward (Rick) and Patti Behar (Alex); his grandchildren, Allison Ward Oubre (Jacob), Stephen Behar (Rachel), Richard Ward, Jr. (Ruth) and Jamie Behar Doak (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Vivian, Mary Kate Oubre, Presley, Madison Behar, Josiah, Henry Ward and Landon Doak; his sister-in-law Karen King; and his nieces and nephews, Cindy Hopper, Diane Altsman, Glenn Travis, Irene Neuman, Kevin King and Michael King. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to Homes of Hope or other charity of choice.
