He was predeceased by: his son Devon Andrew Byrd; and his grandparents, Edcar Dunkley Sr., Jessie Agnes Dunkley, Andrew Zollie Byrd and Roxanna Brewer Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Byrd; his sons, Austin Byrd, Peyton Byrd and Jason Byrd; his granddaughter Evelyn Byrd; his parents, DeVon Leon Byrd Sr. and Linda Lou Byrd; and his sister LaDeea Draughn.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Jones & Son Funeral Home-Hattiesburg (6842 US-98, Hattiesburg, MS 39402). A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 1:50 PM at the McLaurin Cemetery (499-83 Rifle Range Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jones & Son Funeral Home-Hattiesburg (6842 US-98, Hattiesburg, MS 39402).
