He is survived by: his wife Kathy Slocombe Wheeler; his sister Delilah Marie Wheeler Dunlap; and his children, Marcia Giedd, David Lee Wheeler, Amanda Joyce and Edie Patterson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
