He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian Louise Sanderson; his parent Ina Davis Hilbun; his stepfather John David Hilbun; his daughter Cheryle A. Archer; his children-in-law, Curtis L. Archer Sr. and Veronica Ruth Sanderson (Rhonda); and his brother Donald Otis Sanderson.
He is survived by: his children, Edward L. Sanderson Jr. and Chere. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Dixie Baptist Church (111 Dixie Church Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39465). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
