She was predeceased by: her parents, Smiley Jefferson and Mary Carr; and her sons, Sylvester Smith, Bernard Smith and Britten Smith, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Pittman (Paul) of Hattiesburg, Linda Strickland of Flint, MI, Gloria Johnson (Alfonson) of Atlanta, GA and Rayshun Smith of Atlanta, GA; her close friend Molly Elbert; Moore. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
