She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Cooper and Dewey Cooper. She is survived by: her children, Jeff James, Mark (Gwyn James), Deanna Fortenberry Martino, Debra (Steve Weldon), Dean Fortenberry and David (Kim Fortenberry); her grandchildren, Joel James, Josh James, Jessica James Howell, Sheldon James, Neilee James Zeisloft (Ben), Mason James, Lara Thrash, Paul Carney (Katrina), Lindsay Weldon, Sommer Grace Higginbotham (Patrick), Ashley Bryant and Bailey Guice (Chad); and her pet Bows. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pine Belt Foundation, 1501 Adeline St., Hattiesburg, MS 39401, for the Gwen and Bob James United Way Endowment Fund.
