He is survived by: his children, Shannon Austin Lawson (Jason "Todd" Lawson), Heather Austin Russell (Adam) and Michael Dwayne Austin; his grandchildren, Aleigha Hailey Watson, Devin Matthew Watson, Aubrey Faye Austin, Taswell Beau Austin and Magnolia Michelle Austin; his great grandchildren, Karalyne Manley and Ivy Rose Watson; his brothers-in-law, Tommy Vance and Johnny "Frankie" Roberts; his nephews, Brent, Greg Vance, Mark and Shawn Roberts; and his cousins, Eddie Sanderson, Victor Ladner (Donna) and Ashley Ladner. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, and a close community of extended family.
