He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gabriel Burkett Weldy, Jr. and Mildred Caldwell Weldy; his son Mark Elliot Weldy; his sister Dorothy Weldy Dearman; his wife Peggy Anderson Weldy; his children, Jack Burkett Weldy, Jr. (Susan) and Mary Beth Weldy Kruger (Baxter); his daughter-in-law Gail Davis Weldy; and his children, Amelia Anderson Weldy Craig (Dwayne) and Michael Lamar Weldy (Leslie). He was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.
