We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2025, at the age of 81, James W. Donald Sr. of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Donald and Jimmy Donald; his brothers, Sherman Donald and Luther Donald; and his son Doug Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Katie Maples Donald of Hattiesburg; his daughters, Kay Blackledge (Todd) of Seminary, Scarlet Irby (Patrick) of Hattiesburg and Ashley Brooks of Hattiesburg; and his sisters, Betty Couty (Rick) of Key West, FL, Beverly Robinson (Bill) of Moselle and Sarah Ward of Moselle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a son.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home (805 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Service - Hattiesburg (805 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at the Rawls Springs Cemetery (50 Rawls St, Hattiesburg, MS 39402).
