She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edcar Dunkley and Jesse Agnes Chandler; her siblings, Dora Harbin (Byron), Janice Whatley (Charles) and James E. Dunkley, Jr. (Billye); her son DeVon Byrd, Jr.; her grandson Devon Andrew Byrd; and her son-in-law Sandy Draughn.
She is survived by: her husband DeVon L. Byrd, Sr.; and her adoptive sons, Steven Richard and William Landrum. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
