With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lucile Smith of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband William Truitt Smith; her parents, Charles "Charlie" Baggett and Lillie Baggett; her siblings, Charles Baggett, Jr., Wilma Odom, Lowell Baggett, Pete Overstreet and Emanuel "Speck" Overstreet; and her grandson-in-law Spencer Alan Davis.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall Maston Smith (Debbie) and Gerald Wayne Smith (Vicky); her grandchildren, Maria Smith Davis, Jeromy Smith (Andrea), Garon Wayne Smith and Clay Randall Smith (Jodi); and her great grandchildren, Corbin Alan Davis, Austin Tyler Smith, Truitt Wayne Smith, Audrey Ann Smith, Lyle Cooper Smith, Bentley Garon Smith and Ashton James Smith.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove (860 Purvis Oloh Rd, Purvis, MS 39475). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at the Ladner-Muckelrath Cemetery.
