She is survived by : her husband Michael E. Ryan (Mickey) of Hattiesburg; her children, Michael Harrell (Mallory) of Tallahassee, FL, Kimberly Simmons of Jackson, MS and Shannon Mitchell (Brian) of Hattiesburg; her grandchildren, Bennett Harrell of Tallahassee, FL, Hayes Harrell of Tallahassee, FL, Shelby Harrell of Tallahassee, FL, Davis Simmons of Jackson, MS, Sydney Simmons of Jackson, MS, Ella Jane Simmons of Jackson, MS, Bryce Mitchell of Hattiesburg and Jessie Mitchell of Hattiesburg; and her siblings, Ruby Ledbetter of Hattiesburg, Tom Curtis (Connie) of Hattiesburg and Rhonda Moudy (Bobby) of Hattiesburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Services, Inc. or Homes for Hope for Children, two organizations in Hattiesburg that were close to Carol's heart.
